 | | The Tri-North Builders head office project in Fitchburg (Wisconsin) was drafted in Brasov (Romania) by two Technyx detailers, Costel Chelaru and Gabriel Szabo using SDS/2 software. Endres Manufacturing Company, the Technyx’s customer that fabricated the building’s structural components, received a prestigious award for this project at the 2007 Steel Plus Network LLC convention: the best steel building project in the United States.
“This is a great honor and we’ve won thanks largely to the detailers at Technyx. You should be very proud! We were exceptionally pleased with the work done by your detailers. The project was very complex because of the several different roof pitches. The deadline was also very tight, which made communications between Costel and myself a key factor. It was great to have him there every morning, ready to answer all my questions about the design. In the past, we had difficulty communicating and obtaining return calls from subcontracted detailers. With Technyx, someone was always available and we knew exactly what they were working on at all times.“
The building, which is about 55,500 square feet in size and built from over 260 tons of steel, includes underground parking, three atriums, roof decks, a daycare facility, offices, a fitness room and several meeting rooms. Since the building is a showcase for the contractor to all of their customers, the building had to be unique and an example of quality and creativity.

 | | By working with Technyx, I’ve been able to build a team of 25 young and dynamic detailers. In fact, this is the first time I’ve ever been able to rely on so many employees!
Distance isn’t a problem because, through the wonders of technology, we can use e-mail, chatting and Sametime software to communicate amongst ourselves. Language isn’t a problem either because the team manager and team leaders speak very good English. I believe that communication is the key to our success.
What I like about Romanians is the pride they have in their heritage. They enjoy sharing what they have and what they know, and I admire that about them! And Romania is such a beautiful country!
