A group’s life experiences |
We take great pride in the multitude of achievements that have marked our group's history over the years and even more in the testimonials we get from our employees, who take an active part in the development of Canam Group and its business units. Working for Technyx has given our employees the opportunity to visit other countries, discover different cultures, meet new people, build relationships and grow as individuals. Whether they are working from our offices in India, Romania, Canada or China, our employees get to work in a dynamic environment and to communicate with people of different nationalities.

I only have good things to say about the greeting we received from our Technyx colleagues in India last spring. The cultural shock is obviously enormous, and both wealth and poverty are visible at every turn. The climate in India also takes some getting used to as it is very hot and humid. Generally speaking, people are welcoming and very friendly. I took advantage of the weekends to explore downtown, and Lyli Samanta, detailer, was kind enough to accompany us and act as our guide and interpreter. The hotel staff was also very friendly and treated us well. Prior to our departure, our Technyx counterparts took us out to eat and even presented us with gifts. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my experience in India and will keep excellent memories of my time there.

From Kolkata to Saint-Georges, we’re geographically far apart, yet so near. Our languages are so different, yet during our recent trip, we had no problem communicating with the people from the different offices in the province of Quebec. The people there are very warm, friendly and hospitable, just like us, the Bengalis. Although we are very different in our physical appearance, we are very similar when it comes to our hearts and our minds. We are all human beings, the greatest creation of God. And we all belong to the world of Technyx. Technyx has truly created a "small, small world". |

What I can say about our trip to Canada is that professionally I have never experienced a trip like that before. I got the chance to meet my colleagues from Saint-Georges. It was great because they are marvelous people. They’re warm and made us feel welcome. What I find really amazing is their desire to constantly improve things. One little mistake is a huge disaster to them, and they can’t accept the same error being made twice. It is interesting to see how different cultures learn from each other. Canadians have taught us to speak freely, and we’ve taught them never to underestimate their human resources. Together, we can become rich: rich in culture, rich in knowledge and rich in friendship! |

My trip to India in May 2007 was a great success at all levels, including professionally, culturally and personally. One of my first impressions upon arriving was that I was in an exotic foreign film. Indian women wear colorful and ornate traditional clothing, such as saris and churidars, and the streets of Kolkata seemed to be alive with a rainbow of colors. After trying a few pieces on myself, I found them to be very comfortable. I also saw many women with Mehndi body art, which are intricate lacelike designs that cover the hands and feet.
I enjoy traveling and interacting with people, which I find to be highly enriching in many ways. I am also interested in architecture and had the chance to see several temples, as well as a number of old and new buildings.
Our Kolkata counterparts took very good care of us and made sure that everything was perfect. In addition to being highly professional, they are also very kind and warm and made us feel welcome. Despite the fact that English is not our mother tongue, great efforts were made to communicate effectively and make sure that everything was fully understood.
I really feel that this trip will help strengthen ties and enhance collaboration between the Kolkata and Brasov office. Just seeing my colleagues in person and interacting with them one on one made a huge difference and helped to reinforce relationships. In my view, one handshake has more value then a dozen emails.

In May 2007, I visited the Murox office in Canada which is located in the Beauce region of Quebec. The main objective of my visit was to discuss future developments in the drafting and engineering services that are offered by Technyx from its offices in Romania and India. We also shared ideas on ways to improve the preparation of production and drafting calendars in order to increase our output.
I have been a member of the Murox team since 1999 and it’s always a pleasure to meet my Canadian counterparts either abroad or in Romania. The “Murox spirit” can be felt at all our business offices as we have an excellent team approach. We are proud to be part of this family and to contribute to its success.
During my stay, I also met with Isabelle Bégin, business process manager at Technyx. We had a number of interesting one-on-one discussions on how to improve the recruitment and retention of personnel at the Brasov office in Romania; discussions that we pursue on a regular basis. |
